In general quality, the Timemore C2 (70) is much more close to the Comandante (250) than a Hario Mini Mill or Skerton (40). If you still feel like you should go for the Harios, it's on you. If you go back through this subs history a few years, the skerton was the top rec for entry level hand grinders.

17 comments Best Add a Comment [deleted] • 8 yr. ago I grind daily with a skerton, and I recently bought my girlfriend the minimill. Overall, I would say that the mini mill has a slight advantage in the coarser end of the spectrum, but only marginally.
The good news is that the Skerton Pro has done away with the tedious system that plagued the old grinders and instead has, thankfully, borrowed a more userfriendly setup from the Hario Slim Mini Mill. The new and improved way is a vast improvement and enables you to set your preferred grind setting directly underneath the burrs.
